The Health of Aboriginal Australia
This book describes the beliefs, concerns and social position of Aboriginal people within Australia, and aims to equip health professionals with the skills to be able to work more effectively with them.

Medical Services

Derbarl Yerrigan Health Services
A free medical clinic, providing doctor's consultation, nurses and welfare officers for Aboriginal people in the Perth (Western Australia) metropolitan area. Facilities include a home and community care programme for elderly and disabled clients.

Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council (KAMSC)
Offers training for Aboriginal health workers and other health professionals.  Other services include the provision of health promotion resources, and health service facilities to the general public in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.

Noongar Aboriginal and Substance Abuse Services
A group dedicated to helping Aboriginal people face the issue of alcohol and substance misuse in the Aboriginal community of the Perth (Western Australia) metropolitan area.

Ngnowar-Aerwar Aboriginal Corporation
The Corporation provides encouragement and support to persons or families, living in or around Wyndham, Western Australia, who are affected by the misuse of alcohol or drug abuse. This support enables Aboriginal people to control their addiction, and learn about alternative life styles which will enhance their quality of life.

Ngunga Women's Group
Aims to provide help and support to Aboriginal women living in Derby, Western Australia, so that they learn to help themselves and their families and feel good about their Aboriginal heritiage.
