About the Award of Fellow of the Library Board of Western Australia
In May 1984 the Library Board of Western Australia established an award to be known as "Fellow of the Library Board of Western Australia." 
The purpose of the award was to recognise people who have made an excellent contribution to the work of the Board and by their outstanding efforts furthered the cause of library services in Western Australia. The award may be given to any person who has made a significant contribution to the work of the Library Board of Western Australia or to any significant aspect of public and state library service in Western Australia.
