The State Library Theatre

This superb theatre, with a built-in cinema screen and comfortable tiered seating for up to 207 people, is ideal for film or video screenings, presentations, product launches, lectures and seminars.

Our theatre is one of the largest and most versatile in the city. Features include:

• an adjoining foyer with standing capacity for 200 people, perfect for delegate registration, refreshments and morning and afternoon teas;
• permanent lectern and microphone;
• lighting control from lectern;
• facilities to run 35mm cine film, 16mm cine film, DVD player, 3/4" and 1/2" video, slides and all your sound production and recording requirements;
• cinema screen variable masking (including all Academy ratios);
• Dolby sound processor;
• baby grand piano for hire;
• unraised stage area of approximately 2.5 x 8 metres.

The State Library Theatre is available from 8.30am to 11.00pm, seven days a week for morning, afternoon, full day and evening sessions.
