Queensland public records historical resource kit Part 1
Part 1 comprises Queensland immigration records from 1848-1923.
Note: The kit is made up of a card index to immigrants on microfiche and 18 rolls of 35mm microfilm. There is a handbook guide to the collection which is to be used in conjunction with the records.
To use the collection it is necessary to search the card index to immigrants on fiche for the name of immigrant sought.
Then note the Queensland State Archives location number and page number from the card. Consult the Handbook and the List of records indexed on page 17 for the microfilm roll number. Locate the register or record required on the roll of microfilm. Refer to the appropriate page of the passenger list and locate the name of the immigrant together with details recording his or her arrival.

Naturalization

Part 3 comprises Queensland naturalization records from 1851 to 1905.
The collection consists of 23 rolls of 35mm microfilm and 2 rolls of 16mm microfilm.
There is a handbook guide to the collection which is to be used in conjunction with the records.
To locate oaths indexed by the registers. Information necessary to start search
- individual's name
- approximate date of individual's naturalization
Locate entry in register and note oath number, year and district. It is then possible to locate the oath of allegiance on microfilm.
To locate oaths and other records indexed in the card index to naturalizations.

Search card index for name of alien and note location details given on card. It is then possible to locate the record on microfilm.
