The State Library has a comprehensive sheet music collection for all types of choirs, from barbershop quartets through to the larger forces required for oratorio. The collection encompasses oratorios, cantatas, masses, sacred choral music, madrigals as well as a large collection of choral sets of miscellaneous songs. Reference

Our collection contains books, journals and electronic resources covering all aspects of choral music, from directing choirs to analysis of large choral works.

Recordings

We have a listening collection of CDs and LPs for use within the building, and you can listen to tracks using the online Naxos Music Library.

Scores can be found by using our catalogue. Useful subject searches are:

• Choruses (followed by Sacred or Secular and whether you are looking for mixed, men's, women's or children's music).
