Your Library Record
INTRODUCTION
Your Library Record allows you to view and renew items you have out on loan from Library on your home, work or library computer. You can also view holds/reservations that staff have made for you.
How to View Your Library Record at Home
- Visit the State Library’s home page www.slwa.wa.gov.au
- Click Search
- Click Search our Catalogue
- Click View Your Library Record from the bottom right hand corner
- Type your first name and surname in the Your Name box eg clive owen (not case sensitive)
- Type your barcode in the Barcode box eg cslibm789… available from your library membership card
- Click Submit.
How to View Your Library Record at the Library
- Click Search our catalogue
- Click View Your Library Record from the bottom right hand corner
- Fill in your name in the Your Name box eg clive owen (not case sensitive)
- Type your barcode in the Barcode box eg cslibm789… available from your library membership card
- Click Submit.
Sorry, cannot locate patron record
- If you see the message Sorry, cannot locate patron record
- Type your name and membership number very carefully in the boxes again
- If that does not work then contact circulation:

View items out on loan
- Click Checked Out Items
- Scroll down the page to see a list of your loans
- The list will appear in the order that the items were checked out to you.
To sort the items checked out by the due back date
- Click SORT BY DUE DATE.
RENEWALS
You can choose to renew all or some of your items checked out.
Renew all items
- Click RENEW ALL
- You will get a message: This will affect all items. Are you sure? Click OK
- If they have successfully renewed then you will then see in the title listing RENEWED Now due 23-04-12
Renew selected items
- Click the boxes next to the titles ie scores, plays or cassettes you wish to renew
- Click RENEW SELECTED ITEMS
- If they have successfully renewed then you will see in the title listing RENEWED Now due 23-04-12.
Cannot renew
- You will not be able to renew if TOO MANY RENEWALS appears in the STATUS box. You have renewed this item once or twice already and it cannot be renewed again. The items must be returned immediately.
- ON HOLD appears in the STATUS box. The item is on hold for someone else and cannot be renewed. Please return the item for the next reader.
- Your registration has expired. Please contact the Library to update your membership and renew your items, if possible.
HOLDS/RESERVATIONS
Reference staff on the second floor are happy to reserve any scores, plays and cassettes for you that are on loan to another reader.
Requested Item Available
When the item that you have reserved has been returned and is available for you to collect Requested Item Available displays on the screen.
View items on hold
- Click View holds
- Scroll down the page to see a list of your holds.
LOGOUT
At the end of your session log out to maintain privacy:
- Click LOGOUT
