Material which may not be copied
Photocopiers generate intense amounts of light and heat which pose a threat to the physical well-being of paper. To protect rare and fragile books and records, some categories of material will not usually be copied. These include some archival records, rare books and serials, and material which is in a fragile state.

If you require a copy of these materials, staff will provide advice on particular copying alternatives. Where photocopying is not permitted, photography may be an acceptable alternative.
