Jack and Pill

by Brooke J. Coutts-wood

Once upon a time there was a little boy called Jack. The night before, Jack had an upset stomach. The next morning he woke to a headache, and with that, everything was blurry. "Jack", cried his mum. "I bought you some pills to make you feel better and be careful not to take the '"Just Add Water"' sponge pills "Okay" Jack replied with a frog in his throat.

Jack approached the kitchen cupboard finding two boxes of pills, one with black and the other with colours. Jack loved colurs so he took all the pills in the coloured box. "UGH COUGH!" choked Jack. He forgot to take the pills with water. "Jack, you take the pills with water. Wait there a moment, threatened Jack's mum. She turned the tap handle. Mack, did you pay the water bill?" There was no reply. "Come on, honey. I'll drive you to the well." Jack slouched into the car and waited for his mum to gain the hill where the well stood. "Walk home won't you, darling? Jack's mum said.

Jack hurried up the hill to the well, filled his bucket with water and gulped the lot."Arrrgh" cried Jack. He was swelling and swelling and swelling. Jack dropped his bucket and rolled down the hill towards some cars.

BANG!!!! Sponges were flying everywhere. Nobody found Jack or knew who stole the sponges.

THE END
