Loans from the Music & Performing Arts Library
As a registered member of the Music and Performing Arts library you can borrow musical scores, cassettes and playscripts. Books, magazines, LP and CD recordings are not available for loan. They form part of the reference service we offer.

Loan Periods
Musical scores - 4 weeks.
Cassettes - 4 weeks.
Orchestral sets - 3 months.
Playscripts - 4 weeks. 2 renewals of 2 weeks may be requested. 2 renewals of 4 weeks may be requested.
Prompt copy performance sets - 3 months
Renewals can be requested in person or by telephoning 08 9427 3243 or by email to askus@slwa.wa.gov.au.

Lost and Damaged Items
Members are responsible for all materials they borrow until their loans are cleared by staff. We ask that you do not post return items or return them via a public library.
Please take care of items you borrow. A replacement cost (including a binding fee where applicable) will be charged for items that are not returned, or items that are damaged beyond repair. In addition a non-refundable fee of $37 will be charged for each invoice.

Membership Requirements
Membership is available free of charge to all residents of WA. You must provide official proof of your current, permanent, residential address (such as a driver's licence, a electricity/gas account or a concession pass). The details of a contact person - a friend or relative at a different address to your own - are also required.
Children under the age of 14 may become members with the signature of a parent or guardian on the membership register.
You will be given a borrower's card which you must bring to the library each time you borrow or renew items. If you have a borrower's card from a public library, please bring it with you when you join.
Please let us know whenever you change your address so that we can keep your membership current.
