The Music and Performing Arts library has a large collection of rock and popular music in artist anthologies, compilations and single songs of sheet music available for loan. The collection ranges from 10cc to INXS to REM to ZZ Top. All popular genres are included: rock, pop, country, rock and roll, hard rock, heavy metal, as well as film and television themes. Much of this popular sheet music is now out of print making it an invaluable collection.

Eleanor Litterick Collection
In the 1980s well known Perth performer, Mrs Eleanor Litterick donated a collection of 10,000 pieces of sheet music to the Music and Performing Arts library. This archival collection of 20th century sheet music includes many pop songs from the fifties to the seventies. It is housed separately in the stack and the collection has been named in her honour.
Popular Song Collection
A collection of popular sheet music from the 1950s to the 2000s, from "The twelfth of never" to "4,003,221 tears from now". The song sheets are housed in the stack area and are accessible using the song index.
Song Index
Are you looking for the sheet music to "What a wonderful world"? Our song index will take you there electronically or via old fashioned card. The card index has over 100,000 song titles organised by title, including a significant number of rock and popular song titles from the 1950s to the 2000s. The song index is being transferred to the State Library catalogue. Electronic entries provide much information including title, composer, first line, key signature, name of performer and the date of publication.
