Resource Services
Resource Services is responsible for leading and developing the Acquisition, Access and Preservation and Maintenance of all State Library collections including those for 240 public libraries throughout Western Australia.
Orders
Manages the ordering of all resources for the State Library.
Accessions
Manages the receiving and processing of State Library resources to ensure the most efficient delivery of client ready resources.
Distribution
Manages the distribution and discard of State Library resources including those to public libraries.
Create
Manages the creation of records to enhance access to resources and to lead in the provision of authoritative records for Western Australian materials.
Quality
Ensures data integrity of all records.
Archive
Makes accessible the State Library’s archival collections.
E-Team
Leads and contributes to national and international initiatives to make the Library’s resources more accessible and to enable end user access to the Library’s electronic resources through the coordination and management of e-resources.
Stock & Stack Maintenance
Manages the collection to ensure items are correctly stored and maintained in the best physical condition for client services and is responsible for the timely retrieval of materials for clients.
Conservation Services
Leads the conservation and preservation of State Library and documentary heritage materials.
Re-formatting Services
Facilitates the long-term preservation and access to the State Library’s published, archival, image and sound heritage collections.
