PANDORA Selection Guidelines
Websites and electronic publications are selected for preserving by the Battye Library if they are substantially Western Australian or by a Western Australian author; or are on a subject of social, political, cultural, religious, scientific or economic significance and relevance to Western Australia and this information is not available in any print format. The full selection guidelines are provided in the Guidelines for the Selection of Electronic Publications for the PANDORA Archive. The Battye Library would welcome any comments on the guidelines on info@slwa.wa.gov.au.
Selected sites and publications are archived using the National Library of Australia's PANDORA (Preserving and Accessing Networked Documentary Resources of Australia) hosted by the National Library of Australia. Access to the entire archive and information on the Australia-wide project is available at http://pandora.nla.gov.au/index.html.
Searching for electronic resources in the State Library of W.A. Catalogue
Catalogue records containing links to websites and electronic publications, including those available through PANDORA Archive, can be searched using any of the available search options such as author, title or keyword. Every catalogue record for a resource in the PANDORA Archive has the series title Pandora electronic collection. Where a publication is published in both print form and online there will be a link to the live website to improve access to Western Australian publications for all Western Australians.
