Forestry - Old Growth continued

Moving giant logs cut down in the forests of Western Australia's south-west was difficult work.  At first teams of bullocks and horses were used to haul logs to railway sidings for transport to a mill. As the twentieth century progressed tractors and other mechanised forms of transport were experimented with, but it wasn't until the 1930s that the use of tractors became widespread.
