Trams continued
Services were extended to more residential areas, and by the 1930s covered 41 miles.
From the 1930s and the 1940s motor bus services expanded and the level of tram use declined.
By the 1950s more and more services had been taken over by electric trolley buses
and motor buses. Fremantle abolished tram services in 1952, followed by Perth in 1958.
