There’s always something to do at the State Library during Seniors Week. Visit our latest exhibition, enjoy a concert, take a look behind the scenes or watch a film – there’s something for everyone. All activities are FREE and some require bookings.
A Grand Storytime
Are you a grandparent who cares for toddlers or pre-schoolers during the day? Bring them along to share stories, rhymes, songs and fun! The storytellers will be staff from Better Beginnings, the State Library’s multi-award winning universal family literacy program.

Sit back and relax as Justin and Katherine Friend entertain you with favourite songs that captured your hearts and spirit from the war years through to the haunting music and passion of Phantom of the Opera. Learn how to find these songs yourself in the State Library’s wonderful music collection.
