The Hon John Day, Minister for Culture and the Arts announced the winners of the 2010 Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards at the State Library this evening.
The Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC) and the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which will see the historical paper and digital records of WAITOC archived and maintained by the State Library of Western Australia.
The State Library of Western Australia’s specialised study space has opened a month earlier this year, and is now available to students revising for their WA Certificate of Education.
As part of the City of Perth’s Winter Arts Season, the State Library presents a series of films set in Western Australia through the decades. These free films will screen on Thursdays, and start promptly at 5.45pm in the State Library Theatre.
